Completely renovated in 2022, Hotel Amasea in San Teodoro is a modern resort that follows the architecture of typical Sardinian villages and blends perfectly with the surrounding nature.

The Resort is located on the east coast of Sardinia, overlooking the charming beach of Cala d'Ambra and just a few steps from the lively tourist centre of San Teodoro.

The structure consists of a central area near the sea where the main services are located (restaurant, swimming pool, pool bar and theatre) and other small buildings scattered in the Mediterranean scrub that accommodate the rooms.

Guests also have access to a private pier for excursions and moorings (guests have privileged direct access to the pier in front of the complex for moorings and excursions, etc), a beach volleyball court and a children's playground directly on the beach (with deckchairs and umbrellas), from which every day you can admire the beautiful scenery of the island of Tavolara. The centre of San Teodoro, on the other hand, can be reached on foot or by bicycle along the bike path (there is no bike path). (The centre of San Teodoro can be reached with a short walk).

The attention to detail, direct access to the beach, swimming pool and entertainment make it perfect for a family holiday, but also very popular with couples looking for relaxation.

  • Our rooms

    Waking up among the scents of the Mediterranean scrub.

    The structure develops like a widespread Resort immersed in manicured gardens dotted with plants typical of the Mediterranean scrub. The rooms are housed in small buildings connected to each other by stone paths: those on the ground floor offer a small private patio, while those on the first floor have a lovely veranda, both furnished with a table and chairs. They can accommodate from a minimum of two people to a maximum of four adults plus a cot in the Family Suites.

    The interiors are distinguished by modern and functional furnishings, enriched by details that recall the Sardinian style.

    Among the amenities available: hairdryer, minibar, safe, air conditioning, Smart TV, courtesy line, telephone.

  • Beach

    Between white sand and small pebbles, in the enchanting scenery of the Tavolara Marine Park.

    The Amasea overlooks the reserved Cala d'Ambra on the coast of San Teodoro. The beach is composed of white sand and small pebbles that slope towards the clear and shallow sea. It extends for about 200 meters and is equipped with umbrellas and deckchairs, which are also placed on the back lawn.
    From the beach you can admire the imposing island of Tavolara, one of the symbols of this coast, which is part of the marine park of the same name. Behind the beach there is an area for children with games and slides and a beach volleyball court for the older ones..

    The renovated restaurant of the Amasea is located in the central complex near the beach and has a beautiful room with large windows overlooking the sea. It offers Sardinian and national cuisine with the best local products and the inevitable  first courses.

    In the area of the resort near the beach, the swimming pool and pool bar are among the most popular corners of Amasea, with a view of the sea and the island of Tavolara, inviting you to spend relaxing afternoons by the pool and aperitifs at nightfall.
    In addition to the swimming pool for adults, equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, there is also a shallow pool for the little ones.

    San Teodoro is a well-known tourist centre on the east coast of Sardinia. Its territory is part of the protected area of the Marine Park Tavolara - Punta Coda Cavallo, an area of inestimable ecological value and disarming beauty.
    Famous for the turquoise sea and the beautiful beaches (among the most beautiful are La Cinta, Cala Brandinchi, Lu Impostu, Puntaldìa, Isuledda and Capo Coda Cavallo), this place also offers naturalistic attractions of great interest such as ponds and lagoons populated by pink flamingos and knights of Italy, ideal places for birdwatchers.
